There is a decent little bait and tackle in clerance by Don Georges good bait decent prices on new and used gear hood selection for ice also. Its worth a look. CAPT BOB'S. He is expanding gear more towards erie. So take a look stop in seems like a good guy to deal with.

Guys, what type and size hooks are you using for your Lake Erie open water worm harnesses?

    Thanks in advance,

Jack, I use 1/0 or 2/0 Mustad Octopus (Beak) hook. The Mustad part# is 92553. I personally use the Red hooks and 30# red wire to tie my harnesses. I start with a 16" piece of wire and tie the hooks with a standard snell and use a size 4 or 5 blade either colorado or willow leaf. If you use wire you will need a #3 crimp sleeve to make your loop. I also use 6mm beads you can get at a craft store or tackle shop or online.
