I just bought a new Lowrance HDS5 and it does not have the Niagara River depths on the GPS. After a month it quit working properly. I also have a HDS7 which broke after 15 minutes and has been at Lowrance for 2 months being fixed. I have four other friends who have also experienced problems with these new HDS units. A tech person from Lowrance said they introduced the HDS line before all the bugs were worked out because they were trying to keep up with the Humminbird 3D. I have spent over 20 hours on the phone arguing with their customer service and have got no satisfaction! They are terrible to deal with.
