I went to look at the picture on the walleye site but I believe that the dipsy is hooked up backwards. I have always tied the line from the rod the the pivot arm on the dipsy. this will cause it to dive down. The way it is shown will allow it to run high. Don't you agree?

You are correct, if you hook it up the way that picture shows it will run shallow. I would not use it that way, it is meant to be hooked up in such a way that your line is connected to the pivot arm so it will dive.

fished Wedneday evening 6pm to 9:30 pm.
55 to 60 FOW, straight out of harbour, slightly West of Abino.
Not a single fish of any type.
Fished 2 20 ft jets, a small dipsey and a slide diver lite bite.
all worm harnesses, 3 black/purple 1 water mellon.
lake was practically flat.
no fish, but the beer made it tolerable

I was in about the same location last Friday. We got one later in the day at about 12:30pm. When I was in 55 to 60 ft of water I didn't see much on the graph. But when I trolled in towards Sturgeon Pt. I at least saw more marks. That was about 48 - 50 ft. We had 4 poles out off boards. The port side had 1 1/2 oz and 1 oz in line weights the starboard side had jets - 30 & 40. Let's hope the wind stops.
