Took a bit of searching but finally found a school in 65 fow several miles west of Sturgeon Point, after dodging the thunderstorm. Only saw scattered fish out deeper. I ran over the school multiple times in the first couple hours and couldn't get a bite, despite switching harnesses and trolling speeds. But then twice when I shut the motor off and started pulling in the lines to go somewhere else, a fish would hit. So I stopped trolling and just drifted in the waves, 1 mph, and hooked five (maybe six) walleye along with white perch and sheepshead, all from 11A to 2:30P. Nothing in the two hours prior. I know that I lost two larger ones because one came off right at the boat (isn't that how it always goes&#128540, but I boated 3 that were just over 15 inches. Green or watermelon harnesses along bottom were the only ones to get any attention. Both Indiana and Willowleaf blades worked, which surprised me given how slow I was going. But apparently that was the pattern they wanted today.
