Rod Overboard
Penn GtI reel with 5 color lead attached to church walleye board. Rod holder slipped and the rod went overboard and the board sank just as I
was getting to it with boat hook. About 75 feet of water maybe a mile west of the Catt. If someone pulls it up, you will be rewarded in addition
to the good karma you get for returning it. Please call or text 585-472-2155

Don't feel bad I have 3 in there from this year alone, one was a brand new Convector 30 line counter on a blue diamond rod with 300 yards of 40 lb power pro and a brand new dipsy. It's one of a dozen or so I have donated in the last 12-15 years. So I feel your pain. oh and broke 2 this year so far.....lol

I'm also guilty of donating one. Diawa sealine (blue cabelas version) with shimano tdr rod. Just had big game mono on it. Worst part was the wife was with me, she was driving and went shallow as I was pulling in everything so went to put the rod in the holder to grab another one that had snagged and missed the holder. Then she said I should have jumped in for it. I would have had to dive as it was down a ways already and would have lost my phone and wallet probably.

I was trolling into the chop with my daughter driving some years ago before I has an autopilot. I ran big boards then and while I was taking off a fish we caught, my daughter was texting and before you know it there was a board off our bow and one astern...lol. The board tether austern popped a rod out of its holder and in the drink. When we got straightend out we had a release on that board that went aft. Guess what we caught? The freaken rod that went over..lol

I was out with Fishfinder yesterday when the plainer board line ripped a dipsy rod out and into the drink , well 2 minutes later a 10 color line bent over and released . After about a 20 minute fight I successfully landed the dipsy rod back into the boat lol. Talk about luck.

Add another one to the pile! I lost a wire dipsy rod today the same way the plainer board line sagged it & pulled it out of the rod holder & into the lake it went. But I didn't get mine back! That makes 2 in the last 20 years!
