Bula Combo Report 7/27
Got on the water around 7am and headed 8 miles due north of the stacks and fished in 75 ft. of water. This was only the second time we have had my boat rigged to troll and I was like a little kid.The program was double willow blade harnesses,3 oz. inline 135 ft. back.We used 2 offshore planner boards and 2 church boards. It started off slow. We trolled east with the waves and didn't get a bite.We turned after an hour and got 4 pigs one right after the other trolling into the waves. Then it seemed to shut down.No problem,we just headed 1/2 mile west of the stacks and put 100 nice big yellow perch in the cooler. What a great day on the lake.I am finding out that this whole trolling thing is not as easy as it looks.I am running two 48 inch amish trolling bags and that's what it takes to get my 29 ft. Rinker down to 1.4-1.6 mph.I'll be up next weekend.
