We decided to take a little boat ride and check out a few spots near the Ohio line that produced last year. Set lines at 74 FOW and trolled with the wind heading NE to the 77 FOW. Pulled one eye and one Silver, very very few marks.
Moved into 46FOW just west of trout run, set lines and trolled mostly east. Pulled 5 eyes and lots of junk. Dipsy's #3 back 75 to 90 and Dipsy's #1 back 60 to 75 worked well. Downriggers out 175 / 225 down 25 to 30 feet work pretty good too. We pulled meat and shallow cranks on both setups.

Marks were much better in close.

nice, they are scattered and not as deep quite yet.
Buddies are fishing anywhere from 39-65 fow. Seems they're in that 25-30 foot range. Quick limits too, running mono, deep diving bay rats, 2z lead about 45 feet, then back 115-120. Also running mono and just deep reef runner's too clean. Can't say what color cause seems too manyare getting bit to say one works more than another.
