Fairport / Mentor Walleye

[First One's Out]

Anyone had any luck for walleye in Fairport / Mentor area? I have been out once, last Sunday morning. Fished 6:00am - 11:00am from Chagrin to Euclid mostly 40-42'. Got junk fish and one walleye. On the way back to Grand River, I marked a ton of fish from Sandcrest to Mentor Headlands VERY shallow, like less than 30'. How is anyone else doing?

It is very quiet in the central basin. I have done all my YTD Walleye fishing out west around the reefs/cans and have not moved east yet. In the same boat as you and looking for some activity off Cleveland area for the eyes.
Will pass along any info if I get it.

Lost two nice walleye between mentor and eastlake, that was last Friday.
30 FOW at dusk, other then that nothing. Going out tomorrow morning

we have been catching walleye in 60-65 fow,between the lagoons & eastlake power plant . with 30 jets at 125ft off the boards. with purple worm harnesses @ 1.5 mph . we got 6 last night & lost 2 at the back of the boat. also had one steel-head on a purple crank bait , but it broke the line.
