Default OFF SHORE snap weight system: 50/50 method

In precision trolling book it gives you a chart to go by. I use this method alot when trolling spoons or lures with little or no dive lip. Also it is charted with 10 l/b mono which is what I have on all my line counter reels. Here is some info that might help you. 3oz. snap weight, first leave out 50 feet of line, at 50 feet hook snap weight on leave another 50 feet of line out set reel in gear. At 2mph your lure is between 20-24 feet down, at 1.5mph your lure is at 24 to 28 feet down, at 1mph it is at 28 to 30 feet. speed is most important when trolling snap weights!! To answer your question I dont have the newest book. lots of luck & tight lines. PAP, from PA.
