Avon Lake Perch

Went out today (5-26) from Miller Rd. Slow day, brought 13 home. Tried just east of power plant in 38 ft and 41 ft. Then went east a mile or 2 towards the point, then right off the point all around 40 FOW. Back west of the ramp in 36 ft, out some more to 44 ft, then west a little more but back in 40 ft.

One here and there, very timid bites. Marked fish in all spots, but they weren't hungry. Was out from 9:30 until 3 PM. Probably wrong time of day.

try about 5 miles due north of Lorain in 52 feet of water. Got a limit there in 2 hours on Monday. Didn't get the GPS numbers, but I was about a half-mile east of the perch nets. All the fish were caught with minnows laying on the bottom.

Good to hear from some guys in the Lorain/Avon area. Thanks for the perch tips...looks like this might be a nice weekend to get out.

Thanks for the info. Planning to go out of hot waters this afternoon, we'll give the deeper water a try.
