    Default Geneva 8-28-22

    Fished 68-75 Fow
Mostly 2.5 MPH Then Slowed to Idle
    Keepers in Lbs. 2-3-4-5-5-5
Caught 2 Sets of 3 Fish in 10 Minutes Twice
Both Times was landing first fish with Motor at Idle or Neutral
    Saw other Boats Drift Fishing
Probably a Good Time to Drift Fish in 72-75 FOW

    This is Good Advice
When Waves coming out of the South Start at 72 Fow Drift to 75 FOW
When Waves coming out of North Start at 75 FOW Drift to 72 FOW
Then You can Say That You know How to Drift Fish
At Least 2 5+ Pounders is Confirmation of This
Confirmation is Sometimes Needed by Others

What assumption are you referring to?

Thanks for your detailed report. What were you using? Spoons? Cranks? Harnesses? They all react very differently during a pause like you were doing. Cranks rise, while the other two fall (unless the spoons are behind Jet Divers). Speed changes in general (up or down) are great ways to trigger bites. When I see marks on the screen at or near the level I am running my baits, I like to change speeds up or down to get them to fire. Sometimes 3 or 4 lines will go at once. If you watch underwater camera footage, you see how fish will often come in behind lures and follow for quite some time before they commit or many times just swim away. By changing speeds, you can usually trigger those fish.

The False Part is that there were any marks on the screen.

    Yes I do agree

Going from idle speed of about 1 MPH then slowly increasing speed [for 60 seconds] to 2.6
One of the Mistakes I was making was going from 1 mph to 2.6 in less than 10 seconds ---I never got any hits increasing speed at a rapid rate
