How’s the fishing out of Cleveland? Are they catching limits yet? If so at what depth are the fish?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the report.

I’m glad to know I can stop in Cleveland instead of heading all the way to Port Clinton.

    went out of wildwood 5-16-21
learned not to use wildwood it is to small

trolled west at 1.5-1.8 42 FOW Down to 27 FOW nothing from noon-2:30
there were marks at 39 & 42 FOW
    moved west 1 mile

Tried 45 Degrees to deeper water - 90 would be straight out
    landed first at 44 FOW
    second at 47 FOW
    3-6 at 47-51 FOW

    all 6 caught using 4 3/8 " bandits with 1 OZ weight
    tried 2 OZ & 3 OZ nothing
they are only down 10-25 Feet Deep
    Blue caught 4 - in 6 hours
    Burgundy Caught 2 - in 2 hours
Yellow was used for 8 combined hours got nothing - that is using 3 poles for about 2 1/2 hours Each

    Comparing Cleveland to Ashtabula
    Cleveland had bigger fish
    19" 2.1 Lbs.
    23" 4.3 Lbs.
    24 " 4.4 Lbs
    25 " 5.2 Lbs
    26 " 5.8 Lbs
    27" 6.4 Lbs
That is a better day than I had all of last Years 25 Trips to Ashtabula

Will try Gordon Park Next since that is were I ended up in Front of for all 6 fish

Thanks for the report. I have not been out yet for Wally. Usually use Gordon Park. You can purchase a yearly launch pass which is convenient. Good for the 4 Metro launches. nice big fish!

I like the format for your reports. I struggled yesterday on the West side of firing range, and within west side.
5 headboats around and numerous boats and trollers. Never saw another net go down. Mine only once.

that is why its called fishing I know.

    You really fished them good!
I’m surprised it was so challenging to catch over that length of time.
what’s was the water temp and did you mark fish or bait?
I’ll be able to fish next week and see what happens and provide some input..

my transducer is only 6" under water so temperature is not accurate. from what I remember 57 degrees
there were 1-6 fish on screen here and there.
it did not look like bait fish
    I will go again sunday
