Took the family out for some fishing and swimming last Wednesday. Got on the water around noon. Due to the clouds and breeze swimming was out until the sun poked through. We headed NE to 47 FoW. There was a nice 2 foot chop.

Started 3 lines with a #0 dipsey on a R3 setting and Kevorkian stinger spoon, #0 dipsey on a L3 setting and warhead spoon, and a #1 dipsey and stinger spoon straight off the back (orange and yellow mix, can't recall name). Put the #0 lines out about 60-70, and the #1 only out about 40. Boat speed was about 2.0-2.5 mph.

Spotty marks for the time of day, but we managed to get 7 keepers, with 2 being 30". The rest were 18-22". Threw some shorties back and got a few sheep head. It was a good day and the entire family got to reel in some nice fish.

If you haven't tried the 72nd ramps yet, they charge $5 (credit card at kiosk only), and are usually an easy in-out. Nice location and ramps are in good shape...not flooded or full of debris.

Happy catching and be safe out there.
