is anyonf fishing 10-27 to 10-30
Hello all,
We are heading to Huron for the fall run of eyes. Is anyone found any fish? I have a new group of guys going with me and I would sure like to put them on some fish this weekend. Last 2 years we have run P10'S and DHJ and done well. Is the water temp. slowing down the fish this fall? Not seeing the catch reports on this site as in years past. Will be in the HURON CITY MARINA for the next month or so. Any / all words of guidance will sure help.
thanks

It has been a difficult Fall season so far for us!
The Walleye seem to be slow coming back West and the 2015/16 hatch has been a bit of a problem with so many shorts taking the bait.
Assuming the weather works, we may be out Fri afternoon and certainly on Sat morning 11/5.
This will be our last trip out of the season
Coming out of Vermilion, and without any specific recent reports, we have 2 favorite spots to head for.
For us it will be a coin toss between heading for 33/15 or going due North to the Vermilion Dumping Ground about 5 miles South of the 45005 Weather Buoy.
If I can persuade the Admiral and Captain of our ship, I am favouring blasting out to the Dumping Ground and if that doesn't work head East to the Sand Bar and then onto the 33/15 area.
The following link takes you to our basic map with our fishing spots marked on it.

We trolled late Friday afternoon 11/4 off the Castle for a couple of hours and just caught a few shorts.
Good marks in 40 FOW but could not them to go on Stinger spoons, P10's, Flicker Minnows or worm harnesses.
With the high winds on Sat morning and a slight Port engine problem we decided to close up the boat ready to be hauled out
Not our best Walleye season on Erie, but we took home our fair shareRoy Page
