My cousin and I fished Avon Point Monday (after the lake settled down) Tuerday and Wednesday. Total count was 67 walleyes 6-20.5", kept 24 walleyes 15.5- 20.5", 5 yellow perch 8.5-9", some catfish, several FO sheepheads and lots of white perch.

Originally we wanted to fish for perch in the central basin but there were no good fishing reports and none of the bait stores had emerald shiners...full moon and storms..etc. So we decided to fish for walleyes. We had a good time trolling all over Avon Point and had lots of action. Most of the walleyes were caught in deeper water 35-45 FOW along the north and east dropoffs of the point and east of the marker buoy. Caught a few around the humps. Caught white perch and sheephead in 30 FOW or less.

Never caught any big walleyes like we caught a month ago. Where have the bigger fish gone? Heard that they have gone east, anyone know?

We used mostly worm harnesses and bottom bouncers
