Mercury overheat alarm
I have a mercury 175 efi outboard. I get an overheat alarm only at WOT
Seems to be pumping water. The heads don't seem that hot to me. I have no temp gauge. I changed the water impeller. Any ideas on what to check next?

Thermostats
Had the same thing happening with one of my 150 Yamahas. ran great, good stream of water, whenever went over 4300 rpm, the overheat alarm came on.Pulled and tested stats and found one was not opening, replaced both stats and problem was solved
