group 31 batteries

I just bought my minn kota terrova and need some batteries now. Its a 36 volt system which I know needs at least 3 batteries. My question would be how much more on the water time would I get out of group 31 batteries opposed to group 27. And where can I find the group 31 batteries I've looked all over Walmart and Costco and the only ones I can find are group 27, thanks for your help in advance.

I run the 27's and have never in over 14 yrs ran them all the way down fishing even in the detroit/st clair rivers in 8 hour tourney's. Like I mentioned in the other post, you probably don't need the extra run time trolling out on erie unless you plan on trolling for 12 or more hours non stop.

do amp hours have a lot to do with how good the battery's are gonna last for the day ?

I wasn't aware about group 31 batteries & can't believe. I didn't ever use group 31 batteries still in life
