Was thinking of fishing tomorrow or sat out of Crane Creek but don't where to buy bait and how to get to parking and on lake. Do you take Park Rd. 1 off from Rt. 2 and follow that back to parking. Have never ice fished Erie. Thanks for the help.

I'm coming from the west on rt 2. Looks like Saturday about 2 pm. I have to work Sat. Morn. Might try to find a place to stay Sat nite and fish Sun morning. Anyone know where to stay in the area if I decide to do that. Coming down myself but know some guys that are supposed to be fishing Sat afternoon to help guide me to fish.

Plenty of motels around area. Super 8 in port Clinton is around $50 a nite

There is a motel close to Lake , turn left off rt 2 at teachout, {dg's ice cream on corner of rt 2), rt before that on 2 is Hipps bait, but right down the road from motel is bait at szuchs, on corduroy rd, dunno how the motel is. but see a lot of ice fisherman staying there. Belive it is an econolodge

I'm currently on my way to camp Perry (I usually fish catawba but reports seem better at CP). Anyway, my question is; what is the closest/best bait shop to Cp, coming in from the west. Thanks
