How is the ice up there since the warm spell ??? Machine quality ice

It wasn't. Had lots of snow & slush was intense per my friend. Open water towards Sterling too. Don't go south. Stay up at Stoney point or middle. We call it the "Desert". Hit or miss, but mostly miss. Trends are late afternoon/early evening. Most years it my haunt, but this year it's game on at Catawba & Crane Creek will be safe soon. Head East my friend. That's where the fish are. Fished Brest Bay since 80's & live in Temperance off Sterns. I go East. Used to catch a lot of perch in Brest Bay. Not there like they used to be. Wonder why myself.
