whats the smallies doing around the islands and any eyes coming from around the islands? looking to come up on weekend of the 20th to fox haven

Smallies have been hit & miss around the islands.
Had a small club tournament out of Mazurick last weekend and everyone ended up trying to fill out their limits in East Harbor. Cold front & gale came in the day before and shut em down.

Seems like they are moving up shallow now. 13 FOW or less.

Thanks ill have to check it out anyway. Maybe they will turn on the 21. I hope they do

Good luck with the smallies!!! Those suckers are hit and miss. Use a drop shot with a crayfish. Longpoint is a good starting spot

I was up perch fishing 9/8 & 9/10 and couldn't help but try for smallies around Rattles....caught 3 there in 4 to 8 fow. Moved to sw side of Sugar and picked up 2 more all keepers but not the big Springtime hogs im used to. Drop shot 9-12 inches up robo worms and gulp leeches.
