I have a boat load that want to go fishing in the big lake. I have not been out since the beginning of July. I have kept up with the posting that everyone has been putting on here. Thanks for all the reports. I have been reading reports 10 to 11 miles out from Turtle point for Walleye and Perch around the Cans. Does this sound OK to start? Anybody else going out on Wed or Thursday from Turtle Point on Mienkes. I hope to meet up with them.

Depending on the weather, I maybe out. We fished Tueday 10 miles out of turtle creek, ne of west sister did ok, caught 12 in 6 hrs. on everything from harness, to Reef runner, Deep Husky jerk, stinger spoons. Would get 2 or 3 then go an hour without anything. Was all in all a good day. Any day on the water is better than a good day at work.

I listen to channel 71, I have a tan color 18' Slyvan with a Maroon bimini top, I launch out of Al's Harbor in Wild Wings.

there a ton of walleyes north , north west and east of the island, but they are stuck in the mud, long lining, jigging,
bounce balls with harness are all working, you have to be very slow with your with lures, small blades better than large ones, erie dearies also working, lots of weeds floating, lots of junk fish,
and perch in the area, hope this helps. Reel Sport charters team.
