5/05, 5/06 report

Sat 5/05 launched at Catawba and ran to west side of islands to fish protected waters from NE wind. Pulled 1. Decided to brave the wind and ran to north of Niagara. Managed 9 trolling before we were chased off by the 5 to 6 footers (with a few 8's in the mix). Took 2 on reef runners and the rest on meat.

Sunday launched at Beef Creek and ran back out north of Niagara. Got our 3 man limit pulling meat. Most all fish came on worm burners (like a stinger spoon with a crawler behind it) with 2oz. inline 30 back 1.5 to 1.7. Good times on the water.

It was way to bumpy for my old bones on Sat. and we had to be back home by 10 am on Sunday so didn't get to fish this weekend. I'm glad some of you got them.

Friday evening it was dead calm then just a whiff of a breeze from the NE and within 20 min. it was blowing at least 20 mph from the NE. So the span of 20 min. would have made for a very dangerous situation for smaller boats on Friday evening. Just sayin please be careful.
