Weekend of april 9th and 10th

Still Slow but getting better.. My guys had to work hard but we they did manage to get half their limit.. Six of the fish were fish ohio fish.. The biggest fish came in at 31 inchs and 11 lbs 14 oz. All of are fish ohio females had already laid there eggs. I am quessing they must have come out of the maumee river and are on the post spawn.. We jigged fished cone, locust and turtle on saturday. We trolled south of niagra reef sunday.. 80 percent of the fish were caught on a 800 reef runner(old red eye). Our leads were 35,45 and 65.

I forgot to mention--our best speed was between 1.1 and 1.4.

Thanks for the info. Were you using any inline weights for the 35, 45 and 65 leads while trolling or just deep reef runners?

No, fish are all high in the water column.. Good Luck

Sorry I missed the other part of your question.. I was using a deep diver reef runner.. The 800 series to be exact my best lure was called (old red eye). Happy Hooker had some left after I bought 6 more..

I keep forgetting to ask you what color 40' tru trip jets do you like running the most.

Kevin, I have not found that color matters.. I have a rainbow of colors.. I know tru trip is making 40 jets as we speak. Have you found them for sell already?

Actually I wasn’t aware that the 40s are not available. Do you know if Dan sells Tru Trips? I was hoping to meet up with him this weekend to pickup the releases you’re using.
