Is Lake Erie Lodge an OK place to stay? Seems I had heard it was pretty rough.
Takin my Wife and she is much more particular than I.

    Cool

I would compare it to a red roof inn and linda that runs the place is great to deal with she goes the extra mile every time we stay

I guess since we will spending most of the time on the water as long as the room is clean it will suit her.

Putting at Mienkes (Cooley Canal) for out of towners is a great option. 2 reasons. If the weather (water Clarity) is right you can either go west to the bay or east towards turtle creek. If ya have strong south winds you can still fish east running down the shoreline (the bay would be out). If ya have west winds you can pound your way to the bay and have the wind at your back coming home. In general east has the best water clarity, but when the bay is right? It's as good as it gets

    Good Luck and Good Fishing

    FYI. March Sucks---cant do nuttin

the 25th might be a little early for the " jig bite " if they are not in yet try just off the breaks in 18-25 fow and anchor up, verticle jig with ice gear ( pimples,do-jiggers, jigging raps, ect. ) about 1-3 feet off bottom

If your up by my cottage use Turtle creek or WW....if you want to fish in the Maumee Bay area where I do most of my fishng you can use Cullen Park on Summit St. Get a map of the area cause around the Maumee bay theirs alot of spots you'll run a ground...I see people do it all the time...Great fishing just be extra careful..
