walleye weekend

"strokin.. em" everyday,every color,worm harness pitched out on jets#30..100.-130. back#40..60-80.back with in liners 30FT -36FT of water around "PUT N BOX" island what a great holiday weekend.

Two of us got 9 walleyes Sunday morning before switching to perch when the sun came out. Then we limited on perch. Pretty good day. Got 75 perch the day before with 3 people. Nice average size. Still spawning. Got 5 walleyes in 2 hours Friday night before dark. All in all, fine weekend.

We were getting them off Green Island, out from lighthouse, 30 FOW. There were a few boats fishing in real close, but turns out they were just dodging the wind. We happened to pick up a couple nice males on walleye harnesses Friday night while drifting for 'eyes. We marked the GPS and went back Saturday and picked up 75. Got 50 on Sunday. Nice average size. Mostly males and they were all 9s, 10s and an occasional 11. Still spawning. All the other boats around were drifting for walleyes. We actually marked schools of perch all over northwest of Green. Been a good Spring for walleyes. I think it will be a great summer for perch.
