    Default Perch report 10-4

Went out of Reno Beach 3.7 miles 4 guys caught 94 perch. 2 guys used spreaders with bling and no bling. 2 others used the new crappie ring with the fake fly that is supposed to mimic a spiny water flea. We all caught about the same. Seems u need to leave your line slack and have them inhale and swim with it for a few then set the hook. Longer leaders on your hooks seem to be better. 25lbs at cleaners. Very average size but many were catching from the Toledo intake to the light house.

If it’s what I’m thinking they have them at Walmart in Port Clinton. You can get them with 2,or 3 hooks. A couple hook size, and color options. I have tried them. Occasionally work better than my go to crappie rig.

Get some hooks, some red thread, some tinsel, sparkling or Crystal flash from craft store, clear nail polish to put
on thread after you finish tying and tie your own. Very easy.

They have them at Fisherman's Central as well. I bought a couple when the bite was really slow. No different results than a spreader, but on any given day who knows. I will say they are light line and tangle easily......
