Default Perch East side of Kelleys ?

I am wanting to perch fish Monday, but with my boat that is now named BOBBER, I am thinking about hiding on the east side of Kelleys. The wind is supposed to be out of the N.W. with predicted 2 footers that will probably be 3 footers.
My question is, are their any perch being caught East side of Kelleys? I plan on launching out of Mazuriks.
Other suggestions would be appreciated, maybe E. side of South Bass?
    Thanks, Dennis

I have seen all the good reports from that area, My concern is the wave height, I get bounced around a lot in my light boat. Are you saying it is possible to use Green as a buffer to the waves ?

    Thanks, Dennis

You can use any island as a buffer, if you can get to the leeward side. Sometimes the 5 to mile ride to get there can be the fun part.

When I looked at the chart, the 27ft. water on west side of Green is about 3/4 mile away, that is what BClark0124 also mentioned, with Green being a smaller island I am not sure it would help much being that far away from it.
Oh well, I have a VHF radio. and a good PFD. Being new at boating I always try to learn as much as I can about boating before I do it.
    Nothing like good old experience.
Hope I dont have to much fun getting there.
    Thanks for the reply.Dennis

Around the corner from Mazuriks and south east of the Marblehead light house should hold some perch this time of year. It should also be fairly calm. You would not be far from Mazuriks and could stay closer to shore getting to a back from that area South East of the light house.

Dennis if it rough please don't anchor from the back in a little boat, can be a fast way to watch her sink. Seen more than one person do this.

I prefer to rear anchor when possable cause the boat does not swing,
