I will be going in the morning any reports from the area would be much appreciated.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Intake area
I haven't had a chance to get out lately. The last time out, about 1wk ago, before all the rain, I was west of the intake and east of little cedar point. Started at 1030, caught a few here and there. Moved around quite a bit to pick up a few fish. Then around 130-200pm, fish went crazy. Decent size. Ended up 2 man limit with 14lbs by 4pm.
Drop sinker all the way down.
Let it slack about 10 sec. Reel up slow.
I heard several at the cleaner went to D can. Others went to the turn around. They seem to have done well too.
Good luck.

Thanks Matt

Sorry to hear that. I moved around 5-6 times to find a decent spot. I'm still not sure if it's the spot or just the time the perch decided to feed.
I didn't move far. 1/4 or 1/2 mile each time.
The bite was really light though. Had to really feel it on a light line. Drop sinker all the way. Slack for 10 sec and reel in slow. Got minnows from meinke. Not sure what they were. Dead or alive. It didn't seem to matter.
Gonna try it again Wed or Thurs if weather permit.
I'll update if I get a chance to get out.
Will take a shot of the gps if I remember.
It's just bouncing back and forth near the middle of little cedar and the intake.

Toledo Intake area
I didn't get to get out yesterday.
Got out today though.
Breezy.
1-3 ft waves.
1 mile out from Meinke Marina.
Heading between Intake and lil Cedar point.
Cloudy water. 16-17 fow.
Slow bite.
Stated at 1030 and left at 1245. 20 fishes. Some decent size.
4.4 lbs.
I would not recommend it.
I heard limits being taken at turn around area. 10 miles out.
I just didn't have the time.
Good luck.

Got a chance to get out today with a buddy. Took him out for the his first time on Lake Erie.
Foggy in the morning. Had to rely on gps. Went out about 1.2 to 1.5 miles from meinke. Between the intake and little cedar point.
When the fog lifted, there was a pack of us out there.
Water was smooth as glass.
Nice day. Mix of cloud and sun.
We fished from 8-12. Caught our 60 limit. Mostly 8-10". A few small ones and a few big ones.
4 white perch. 3 gobbies. 5 sheep.
14 lbs at the cleaners.
Steady bite for day.
18 fow. Minnows. Didn't matter what kind. Dead. Live. Chewed up. Used. Half. Perch weren't picky. I set up a line with nice fresh minnows, dead minnows and chewed up minnows. They went for the chewed up one half the time. Go figure.

Btw, for any of you interested in catching walleye.
Go out just a little west of the toledo intake. 18 fow.
Set anchor.
Set up perch rig and minnow.
Wait for the walleye.
Should get one or two.
Kinda small though.
14" or so.
Then set them back into the lake for years to come.
Just have to sort out the walleyes from the darn perch, sheephead and gobbies trying to get your minnows.

Got a chance to get out today.
Smooth. The only waves came from other boats.
Intake and little cedar area.
16 to 17 fow.
Stated at 9 and finished at 12. 58 fishes with 15 lbs at cleaners. Bite died at noon.
3 sheep. 1 13" walleye. 1 gobie. 2 whites.
Saw lots others at cleaners with limits.
The turn around area 10 miles out is also giving out a lot of limits.
The bite around the intake is slow but steady.

Fished the same area today from 830 to 1130 and got 90 perch 20 pounds at the cleaners. Only 1 sheephead and 2 13 inch eyes. Mix of emeralds and goldies. I thought the northwest breeze was going to blow but it died and got hot.
Thanks Matt
