    Default Perch night bite ???

    I have read just stay home, I have talked to a couple people that say they catch a few.
    What is the general consensus of all of you ?

    The go down with the sunset and are not active again until morning. You may catch a couple but they are the exception and not the rule.

    As stated try casting cranks on the reefs or in shallower water nearshore for eyes.

    The only time I see good night fishing for perch is fall at a pier close to my house that is lit well. They seem to come in before dark and stick around for awhile because of the lights. It usually lasts for 2-3 weeks around sept/oct.

    Have had some awesome nights off of Luna Pier in the fall at night. They follow the minnows in and can be awesome. Usually some of the largest Perch of the year as well. Last fall 1trip I ended limiting and my 50 fish went 29 lbs at Spot n Spams the next morning. When the water is clear , you can see them right below the pier.

    Luna pier is in Michigan waters...50 fish per person. Perch that is.
