    Default Jig Color

When someone states the jig color that they are using I see it noted as for instance black/purple - does that mean that the jig head is black and the hair is purple?

Generally yes, head color/ hair color. This past weekends flavor was purple flash ( purple head with purple/chartruse hair with some sparkle ) Also black/ black purple, pink/ pink purple, white and purple mixed, a few on lt blue chartruse mixed. 5/8 and 3/4 size head with minnow. Its 75% action that the angler puts to the jig and 25% color. The fish want it a certain way (presentation).
Water depth and bottom content. Sunday was 14ft with flat rocky bottom did best with about a 1 foot hop and slow controlled fall.
We did get a few deeper up to 23 ft but some as shallow as about 10 feet. Witnessed alot of walleye coming to the surface with 1,2 and even 3 others following. Water temp is 41-43. Great time to fish !
