    Default Maumee bay

Went out Friday morning about 8. Fished my numbers between turtle and harbor light fished till about noon. Didn't catch 1 fish? Water is dirty fished 15 fow to 10 fow and still nothing... Seen a few fish in nets but not many.. Hopefully it picks up around here or I'm taking my boat to my dock at turtle creek! Good luck and be safe

Two things stand out with your posting...

"I fished my numbers"....Question: Did you mark any fish there before fishing the area?

"The water was dirty"....Question: Did you mark any fish before fishing the area? If you marked fish...did you use a bait that had any rattles in it? If they can't see the bait, they can zero in on the "vibration" of a rattle.

The fish will typically move to a better clarity of water if it's too muddy. You can usually find the mud line where the mud meets the clean...fish the "mixing" water, as that usually holds the most active fish.

    Default Maumee Bay

The bay is a different beast in the spring compared to the rest of the Lake .The water is always pretty muddy during the spring from the Maumee River . The fish stack up in known spots and don't relate to a mud line as they are there spawning in the muddy water in those areas .

Some of our best days there , the water has been so muddy that you can't net the fish until the head clears the surface to see it . Captain Jay has made a living by fishing this dirty water with his well known Blade baits in the mud in the Bay .Will be out in the morning myself jigging them up.

3 man limit on Blade baits today in 12ft of water near the Lighthouse. Several other boats at Cullens with limits this morning from inside the Bay near the radar bouy as well.
