    Default Tac

The TAC numbers are in and here is the break down and they can be viewed in the last reply to the thread in the provided link. Now the ODNR will set the daily bag limits based upon Ohio's share of the TAC.

Interesting :A 20% increase seems like a good thing.. Not to good on the perch though...

Western Basin perch are ok: Quote "MU 1 (essentially the Western Basin) has increased, while MU’s 2, 3, and 4 have all decreased from last year." Unquote

So I don't see a lowering of the limit in the Western Basin but can foresee a 25 fish limit in the other areas. But that is only my opinion so it is not worth a whole lot!

2015 TAC for MU 1 - 1.592 million lb and for 2016 MU 1 - 2.292 million lb that is like 700K lb increase or slightly less than a 45% increase.

Last years Perch hatch and recruitment was well above the normal so to me the western basin perch should be in good shape for at least a few years barring any unforeseen tragic events.
