Default wirel line/ what depth are your lines run at? Fishkiller & Baily

I spoke with you gentlemen at the Hunting and Fishing Expo in Hamburg. Can you let me know where I can purchase the Torpedo 19 strand wire/ 30 lb? (I believe that is the wire line you recommended for walleye).

Also, I want to ask this question and got side tracked. Where do you run your lines when fishing for walleye? If you see them on your depth finder. Above the walleye or the depth you are making the fish?

    Thanks

Hi Tony. The 19 strand torpedo wire is some good stuff. When you mark fish, you want to keep the bait above them. roughly 5 ft higher. But aggressive fish will take bait higher than that. Also if your running multiple lines, you should run one up high in the water Column If your marking fish up high. Last year a lot of fish were being caught on 2 color lead. That's about 14 ft down.

yep like 427 said you are better off running 5' to 10' above the fish you are marking. if that doesn't work play around a little with lures.

Tony, give me a call and we can talk. The 19 strand is some really good stuff. We use it exclusively for dipseys, but it has several other applications also.
