    Default Sticky situation

This spring I would like to remove two heavy vinyl decals from my boat. I am afraid of scraping and it may ruin the paint. Has anyone used a product that will not harm the underlying paint. I tried picking at the edge to probably lift a portion to pull it away and it was no use I just could not get enough to safely pull it away, let alone knowing if any paint could come off also. The vinyl adhesive is quite strong. These decals have probably been on since the mid 90's and still going strong.

Use a good hair dryer or heat gun on low. It loosens the glue, then peal the decal. Done it the length of my boat. Then clean up with a buffer.

Thanks guys, both look like good ideas. Just what did you do to remove residue from the glue?

The 3m wheel will remove all the glue also. Give it a good wash when done is all I did.
