Wow! I had no idea the fine was that high, or that they could take the boat. Glad I always call in....

As far back as 2011.
http://www.bassmaster.com/news/canad...der-crackdown#When the cold winds blow and we're covered up in snow,
I’ll be on the ice a' Fishin’, down through a hole.
When the ice goes out and the days get hot
I’ll be out there a fishin’, in the same damn spot.

Yet Canadians come here all the time through our lax borders and go shopping, litter in our parking lots and go back home without paying duties and taxes. They've gotten bad on the river too. Gotta keep in mind when fishing or floating that most of the west river is Canadian waters.

Correct me if I'm wrong - But if you call in to the Canadian number that your in Canada don't you have to check back in with the US officials via a camera phone?? I understand that the only one around here is at Erie Basin Marina? How can you do that if say you launch out of Sturgeon Pt. ?? Or Dunkirk??? You have to drive to Erie Basin and check in??
This is why i don't want to bother even going to Canada.
