Water Dogs~ Perch Report

Wife and I went out yesterday. After 10 really nice fish shut down. Moved to just North of Ballast and just inside. Got 50 nice fish (only two throw backs of 7" in about 2 hours.

Went to b can ..5 people 150 ..yes that is 5 tickets full...87 pounds at cleaners..it was a no bling thing going on..half minnows. No bling..thanks dave..of happy hooker bait shop for the great shinners..they made all day in the heat...got some sheeps and a few whiteies but not to bad..the heat was a bit much but what the hell it was a great day... We where 1 mile due north of the can just out side of the parking lot

Wife and I fished Friday from 4 to 7:30 just north of C-can 60 nice perch that weighed 16# at the cleaners lots of sheeps and white bass. We tried C-can on Saturday afternoon and nada, move to about 1 mile north of B-can and it was on, down and up took 60 nice perch that weighed 15# at the cleaners in about 1 1/2 hrs with few throw backs and no junk fish, perch were in the mud. Drop down to the bottom and let slack in the line for about a 5 count and raise the rod and fish on, plain red hooks no blades with shiners was the ticket.

That is one very good perch catch your fish had to average more than a Half a pound each. Very well done!!!

we did have throw backs mind you but when we started to fig out what to do..like you said they where in the mud...bounced the weight on bottom a few times...its like it called the to the shinner...i would say about every 3 rd fish was 8 - 10 think there was 27 over 12...3 around 14...its also like the half minns did not get the sheeps as bad.with the whole minow by the time it got down the sheep would have it

Got a limit of yellow perch in 30 fow about a mile east of Niagara.
Using a spreader on the bottom and no bling.
Fished about 2 hours.
Had to get the minnows out of Fremont.

FYI on my way out to Niagara there were about 15 boats fishen for perch at D can and G can. Perch On!

3 of us perched fished half mile north of b can catching 70 perch. Most of them was really nice fish. Only a few junk fish. Fish quit biting for us and it got hot so we called it a day.

limited out on less than 3 hours in 22 fow just north of g can. 4 of us.

Same spot n of b can..great fish i have been gettin from there ..tried just south and fish where not as many..made a move out to the way mark..and boom they where better in size and hardly any sheep,,a few whites but other than that... Was of the water by the time the wind stopped..90 fish all avg a few big ones...looks like the perch thing will be good this year....
