Default tuff fishing for those yellow perch

    Water Dogs~ Perch Report-img_0296-jpg
33 perch today, very tuff day, G can H can then north to E can.
two of us today , and 12 pounds at the cleaners , very nice quality, but had to work for them.
spreaders, no bling and golden shiners.
the word is everyone had a tuff day, not sure if the storms had something to do with this.
Anyway, come get some and let us know where you got them.

Did they bite with aggression or just a lite nibble? Do you use a spreader or something like a crappie rig, or both? If on a crappie rig, did they seem to hit high or low?
    Thanks for the report.

golden shiners, spreaders and no bling.
did manage one cat fish and one sheep head.
the yellow perch are eating what appears to be very young mayflies, and the perch were full of them.

I think those are what they call spiny water fleas. iv been seeing them also and have been trying to figure out what they are. But I could be wrong. Possibly why we have had a slow bite.

    Could they be freshwater jellyfish?

I have seen plenty of waterfleas trolling in the central basin, but never saw it affect the bite. But from your pics, that is what it looks like.

very calm day on the lake, caught 18 today and had 3 pounds at home cleaned, (wife likes them with the skin off)
caught one white perch, 2 sheep head, and this very nice small mouth (returned to the lake unharmed).
well, a look at the gut pile shows that they are eating some gobies~!
using golden shiners , night crawler, spreader and no bling.

    Default ~water cool down

Ok, will be at it soon.
Hope the water cool down will bring those yellow perch back to the schooling.
Anyway, it has been an interesting season to say the least.
Will be out Sunday with my Lucky Charm (wife) and we will see if we can connect with those yellow perch.
