If you go far enough North, you will find some eyes near Niagra to W. Sister and on both sides of the Islands. There is good perch fishing within 3 miles of Port Clinton by G can, F can and near Clinton Reef.

The majority of eyes are North of the reef complex.

thank you...I'll be going this weekend (Fri, Sat, and Sun) if the weather holds up. I've heard a lot of purple and gold is working this year for eyes. Do you recommend the eerie dearies in purple or gold? any reports of jumbo perch (11"+)? I'll report my results after the weekend. Best in health and fishing to all!

Better perch near Niagra. Weapons have been the weight forward of choice. Gold crush is also doing well. Mostly gold colors.

Clinton reef- 5 miles at a 60 heading

Impact area f can and G can- G can about 3.5 miles at 350 heading. F can 4.25 miles at 355 heading. Lots of smaller perch

Niagra reef- 10.5 miles @ 346 heading. Deeper water and better perch.

Green Island- 10 miles North. Maybe a 5 degree heading.

West Sister- 16 miles at a 340. Decent perch. Also impact area B can on the way out at about 12 miles same heading.

I would say go straight to Niagra if you can get there. I saw some jumbos come from there yesterday. Check these headings. They should be on, but I am going from memory. I will likely do a perch trip tomorrow.

Portage River. You can pick up a laminated chart for about $10 in most marinas on the river. That will give you precise headinds to all areas. You will see boats on the closest areas from the mouth of the river.
