Weekend Perch

Left the dock Saturday a little after 9AM. We fished just SE of the monument about a half mile or so east of South Bass. Caught 120 perch in about 2.5 hours. 40lbs at the cleaners.

Went back to the exact same spot Sunday. Couldn't get them going. Good marks but few fish. Moved into the pack that was fishing NE of where we were at. Great marks, but managed 2 fish in about 40 minutes. Decided to pack it in around noon and head back. We got 30 on Sunday.

Had almost identical results further south. Fished 6 miles south of Monument Saturday. Late start with 2 limits from 2:00 - 4:00, 22 lbs.
Sunday tried from the net stakes at the NW side of Kellys, moved to West of Kellys, moved to 2 miles South of Monument, Nothing doing. Ended up on the same spot at Saturday and managed a dozen fish from 1:30 - 3:30. That was it for the day.
Wonder if that wind shifting out of the East had anything to do with the slow late bite ?
