Question with the reduced fishing due to weather this spring will that effect the spawn and increase future fish numbers.

The reduced fishing will have little to no effect on the fish numbers. The water condition will have more effect on the hatch. If the water is churning from high winds and flooded with silt it will do far more damage to the eggs resulting in lower hatch rate. At least that is what I have learned over the years.

How soon we forget. Remember last May and early June? No big rain events to pump muddy water into the Lake from the rivers, and very few windy days (if there were they were from a southerly direction). The water was as clear out off Port Clinton as we've seen it in a long time. Satellite showed clear water for more days than I can remember. Guess this is the price...

I'm making front and side curtains for a boat I bought this winter. Have never had a boat with cover. I'm interterested whether those with hardtops or Bimini's and enclosures go out fishing in the rain. I'm not talking t-storms or days with high wind. On those days where it's just an all day rain and light winds, do you go out and troll in the rain? It seems to me like you could set your spread and stay under cover, going out in the rain and nay to reset lines and land fish.
