    Default Perfect 10 question(s)

    Guys,
First time post here. I have a question on the perfect 10 lures. I understand there are several models. I have short lipped Perfect 10 Rogue SUSPENDING in my box. Package mentions 10-14 feet dive range while trolling. I also have RR/800 & Bandits deep diver models. Plus a few popular Rapalas. My question, will the short lipped Perfect 10 Rogue suspending baits work also for trolling? I know I can add weight for additional depth. Like to have options covered when trolling. Much Thanks to everyone sharing their info, great help.

I first must welcome you aboard. But to answer your questions I cannot as I have never tried them, but I am sure some will answer them.

Yes , they are commonly used trolling . Either weight assisted or without . Just depends on the depth of the water the fish are in . They are often used for night trolling also .

I'll add that the P10 is most often used in fall and spring . Once water temps come up,and trolling speed increases other baits are brought into play . But at slower speeds P10s are a heavily used bait .

Not only will they work - they are a killer trolling lure. 2 years ago in the spring they were our go to bait. We caught the majority of our April - May Walleye on them. During that span in spring 2015 we had a streak going where every single time we put out the Black and Chrome P10 it caught fish! Lemon Lime Crush was also hot that year. We trolled em with and without weight depending on where the fish were at the time.

Now for whatever reason, we didn't quite have the same success with them last year. I put them out several times, but always seemed to catch more fish on Bandits, RR's, and DDHJ's in 2016.

This year I'm excited to try the Top 20's. Its basically the newer deep diving version of the P10.
