    Default Fish Board

I want to make a fish board (to hang fish on and take photos). I know some of you charter captains have one. Can you give me some dimensions or pictures? Also, what do you use for hangers for the fish? Just nails? Post photos of your boards here. Thanks in advance for you help.

My sign is approx. 3' x 4' held up by 2- 10' 4x4's, but its a permanent one concreted in the ground. As for hanging fish i just have 3 -2x4's under the sign that i pounded nails into then cut the heads off with an angle grinder.

Not sure if your looking for a portable hand held board or a stand alone. I made a hand held out of an old boat oar. Screw hooks from any hardware store into pre-drilled pilot holes. Some custom color paint and chalk board paint on the broad end and you can personalize each catch with a piece of chalk. My nephew loves these pics.

    Tom,

You may want to check with your marina and see what they are going to offer this year. I have it on good authority that they are going to have a new fish board... if not right away when they open this year, they will have it early Spring. Also, they are going to have a spot on the fish board that will be for you to make a "Nameplate" so that you can just hang your name and info on the top of the fish board... I also have it on good authority that at your marina they don't want permanent fish boards at each charter's boat, and really prefer that you use the main one at the marina.

I hear that the Owners are great people there and will work with you if what they have doesn't fit your needs.
