Short trip, 10-3 went to hide from the worst of the wind and waves east of Kelley's. Trolled further east than the other boats out there. Picked up 6 keepers, 20" ave. x2 shorts and white bass, so lines were always going. Nailed a double just before 3 on a turn then my port bag got loose - right in the prop. Pulled it out and of course the boat spun. What a mess. Would have loved to work that area a bit longer.
42 FOW. Seemed to get bandits on outside of turn and dipseys on the inside. 2 on bandits 80 back, 2 on #3 dipsey 70 back. 2 on 2oz redbeck 60 back. NO MAYFLIES! First time in awhile didn't see 30' deep hatch in the water. Speed was all over the place with winds and waves.

We were also in that area on Saturday. Stayed a little closer to the Island for maximum wind protection. Pulled Bandits 45 to 65 back. Speed 1.7 to 2.5, lot's of variation from waves and wind. Took 4 keepers, a very nice grade of fish 18 to 25" but all very thick, likely from feasting on mayflies for weeks now. Couple smaller throwback Walleye, and couple large Sheep. Green Splatter and Chartreuse W/Black were the hot colors.

I was out there too. Couldn't get away from the fingerlings. Got 0 keepers and 27 throw backs, as well as a few sheephead and white perch.

Wow, thats surprising. We caught zero fingerlings. Our throwbacks were 14.5 and 15". But we were pulling Bandits. Were you pulling worm harnesses or spoons?
