The perch fishing was very slow the last two weekends. We fished from Beaver creek to the black river light house 25 to 50 feet of water, day light to dark. Marked lots of fish on the bottom, pulled some small ones, very few keepers. The ones that did bite were not aggressive at all, seems like everything was just not hungry. Also noticed there were no sea gulls to be seen. Anyone have different results, or thoughts on what's going on. Fishing had been pretty good for the six weekends before.

There have been a lot of big walleye caught by Perch fishermen in the Cleveland area the last couple weeks. The Perch seem to be deeper and scattered. I don't think they'll school up until the big girls leave and head to Geneva. Last year it seemed like the Perch scattered when all the 10-12 inch Walleye showed up in late summer. Kept catching Perch 10-20 feet off the bottom when I would reel up to check my bait.
