First of all I heard the water temps are 55-57. It's worm time.

We will put in at Marblehead at first light. We stop for bait at the peninsula. We will stay out on Put in bay and fish between the islands

We will be on the water in the morning as well. The rain doesn't bother me or the waves. The storms aren't nothing to chance though. It looks like the storms are hitting early morning after midnight....

The jig bite is about done. Not a good season for jigging. Weather was bad about the whole month of April. I'm hearing drifting worms off the reefs in deeper water is the ticket.

From what i'm being told by a couple of captains its still slow. They are telling me it could be mid april till jigging on the reefs are hot

If you are traveling to erie I would wait till that magic number of around 45. I know how it is to travel and not catch much.

I always like the water temp around 42. I think we are still a few weeks from prime reef jigging

if you mark fish around or on the reefs you can try jigs but i'm sure the jig fishing is about done

Thats a tough question. It can be anywhere from 30 to 65. It depends on day or night and mother nature. Since its been a crazy winter and spring so far i would guess the higher temps will pervail.
