Last year some members were posting untrue reports to keep people from launching from their preferred location. I wouldnt take any one member's word as gospel.

No. A lot of open water at Metzgars, Crane Creek, and Catawba. Stiff sw winds have kept ice blown out. If temps stay down should be good ice soon.

Has anyone heard of anyone approaching the bay? Was out west of Metzgars and we were the only hombres. Thought the females have to be pushing the bay soon. Catawba becoming deserted.

It shouldn't. Far enough west of Catawba.

I second East Harbor. Has a nice beach there for the kids too.

2 guys fell through early this morning at Miller's. State park was awfully slushy heading out. Not so bad coming back in.

Was a mile and a half north of Catawba today. About 7" where we set up. Miller's dock was loaded up for their delivery tomorrow. Was brutal out there today!

Thanks wakina! Wasn't sure if the govt only gave you so many looks or something. I don't even think about the islands without a satellite image and weather report. Hoping to get out this weekend....

I have been unable to get an up to date satellite image of Lake Erie the last couple of days. Has anyone else had this problem?
