Geneva Area Perch Fishing

Fellow Fishers, I have heard many good things about the perch fishing in the Gevena area. I would like to plan a trip that way and get a few meals of lake perch. Have camper and 18' deep-v boat, only needing some help on when the best time of the year is to make the trip, where to camp and where to launch the boat. I know that different lakes fish differently and sometimes have a special thing so any fishing tips would be deeply appreciated. We are re-tired so time doesn't matter. Thanks for you help.
