Annual August Fishing Vacation. Fished Sunday out of Walnut; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday out of Lampe. Best fishing was between condos and lighthouse in 58 to 66 FOW. Inside dipsy set 1.5 @ 95 feet back was the best performer. Walleye continue to move east and the wave report continues not to match actual lake conditions so be careful out there.
We just had our week (8/4-8/12) at lampe, fished from the condos to the point, fished from 62- 84' dept. best was the 68-72 and dippsy or 5 color with reefs, we fished every day but sat with the 9' waves, had a great week, kept the larger fish and returned the smaller ones...
our deep water run to the line showed no fish yet, steel soon though...
I meant August (8) not June (6) not paying attention I guess. We probably passed each other! Tuesday, Thursday and Friday were rough in the AM - got off before the Friday storm at 1 pm.
we just beat the rain on friday also, i had the striper in the camp ground, we had customers get sick on tuesday and friday but they hung in till others wanted to come in...will be back up in two weeks for the weekend..
