can anyone tell me the depth i would reach running a deep walleye bandit 20 ft back with a 2oz snap weight then ran 70 ft back from there. i can't seem to find it. also what it would be for 80 back maybe 60 back so on so on.
thanks in advance

Nobody will be able to accurately give you that depth without knowing the trolling speed to go along with those leads.
Like mentioned, weight depths are driven by speed. Also if you are going across/with/into the currents out in the lake. That changes the diving depth. You can start with this. But it is only a reference/starting point.

20 back on a bandit by the chart is about 7 ft. At about 2.0 mph, 2oz 60 back is about 17, 70 back is about 19, 80 back is about 21.
So about 24,26 28 at 2.0 mph.......if your doing 2.5 to 2.7 it will be shallower weights are greatly effect by speed. The 2 Oz at 1.0 60 back will get about 30ft, at 1.5 it is about 19, at 2.0 it is about 17. So even going over waves will cause these depths to go up and down, same as around corners.
If you are running speeds 2.5-2.7 give this site a try. Most other weight dive curves stop at 2.0 mph and that is a big difference compared to 2.7 mph. Just take your crankbait depth from its dive curve and add that depth to the depth you get from this dive curve at your 60, 70, and 80’ leads. Just remember this just gets you a ballpark number, definitely not an exact depth. When I run weight I make sure to make a lot of turns.

Wow played around on that, 2oz at 2.0@ 60 back say 16.3ft at 2.7 9.2 big big big differance
Bandit 60 to 80 runs 15-18... w 2 0z add 8 ft,,,, so 23-26.. plus or minus dependent on speed.. line diameter.. ect.[/B][/U][/B][/U]
I agree, I used weights alot. I'm lazy, I rather bring in 100ft of line vs 300+ ft of line.
Here is an easy way to get/find what line out you want/need. With YOUR boat/set up (rods, line type/size etc) at the speed you want to troll. Attach a 2 or 3 oz weight to your main line. Thumb lightly on spool, let out line till you touch bottom. Check that lineout number. As your diving bait will dive around 6 ft deeper on average using the 20ft to snap weight. So know you know your max lineout. Divide how many rods/lines into the depth of water, and you can cover the water column. After one day doing this, you should have a darn good idea on the numbers to use as your base numbers/lineout. If that makes sense.
What if you are using 2oz-3oz inline 6' leader?
You can use deep diving baits, but they won't run/action as designed. Using weights with a 6ft leader, use the same brand/colors as your deep divers just get the shallow divers. They work great! Any depth you want. And doesn't typically affect the lure's action. Not much tuning of lures is required either. And the top colors typically are not sold out as most everyone only buys the deep divers.
