I drove by Rickards Bait shop on Rt 53 in Port Clinton yesterday. I was in some traffic but it appeared with a quick glance the parking lot was roped off and I think the for sale sign was for the bait shop, and not the Gateway restaurant next door. Is that correct the shop is closed and up for sale?

I can't say as I blame Rickards for selling. That is one busy place. They probably would like to spend more time fishing. Owning a business like that is pretty rough when fishing is what you love to do ! I hope someone else takes it over, it is pretty handy.
That's a bummer! I've been stopping in there every year since 1988. The lake wouldn't be the same to me without my morning visits with Ric. Damn!
